#DRAG recommends – What to do this weekend: Gender Play workshop

Are you in London this weekend and unsure what to do with your time? Curious about experimenting with your gender? Why not try some different and go to a genderplay workshop!

According to Woteverworld, the time has come for their second genderplay workshop, open to all who are interested! As is stated on their website:

“So, as some of us have ‘worked’ with this for many years, both on a professional and personal level we created this event. So, come if you are interested in gender, and gender expressions. It’s playful and exploring, nothing is set in stone and it’s based more on creating a space to explore than be given set answers…”

GenderPlay Workshop will be a day of advice, experimentation and exploring makeup and movement. You can learn:

  • How to add facial hair
  • How to get rid of facial hair
  • How to hide things
  • How to add things
  • How to use posture that suits
  • How to play around with stereotypes

There will also be a number of professionals who will be available for advice and a friendly chat. Two of them are:

Daz – A makeup artist with many years experience in helping actors, musicians and others ‘swap’ gender presentation, and/or create ‘a bit more’ of themselves…

Ingo –A drag king, performer and creator of Wotever World
